Tiger's Eye
Tiger's Eye is a type of quartz with an opaque surface and a silky lustre. It is of igneous origin and its characteristic yellow-brown colour is due to the presence of iron oxide. Tiger's eye was also much loved by the Romans, who carried it with them into battle to give them courage and defend them against the weapons of their enemies.
