Stilbite

Stilbite is a tectosilicate mineral belonging to the Zeolite group. It is characterized by its unique monoclinic crystal system, often forming "wheatsheaf" or bowtie-shaped aggregates due to a phenomenon called twinning. It typically forms in the cavities (vesicles) of volcanic basalt or andesite. These formations are the result of low-grade metamorphism or hydrothermal activity, where mineral-rich, heated fluids circulated through prehistoric volcanic rock cooling millions of years ago. A defining physical trait of stilbite is its distinct pearly luster on its cleavage surfaces.

Apophylite

Apophyllite is a hydrated potassium calcium silicate mineral. While it frequently co-occurs with zeolites, it belongs to the Phyllosilicate group due to its layered atomic structure. It typically crystallizes in the tetragonal system, forming distinct dipyramidal crystals or tabular blocks. These crystals formed within the gas cavities (vesicles) of basaltic lava flows as mineral-rich hydrothermal solutions cooled over millions of years. A key diagnostic feature of apophyllite is its high water content and its exceptional pearly luster on certain crystal faces, contrasting with a vitreous (glassy) luster on others.

Chalcedony

Chalcedony is a microcrystalline form of quartz and comes in many different colours (white, blue, green, red, yellow, orange, black, etc.). It also comes in many different forms. It can be found in geodes, it occurs as nodules (tiny sphere shaped crystals also called botryoidal) and also in crystalline form, but the crystals are usually very small and irregularly shaped.

Calcite

Calcite is a rock-forming mineral and the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate (). It crystallizes in the trigonal system, exhibiting an incredible variety of habits, including rhombohedral, scalenohedral, and prismatic forms. Geologically, it forms in diverse environments, from prehistoric marine sediments to hydrothermal veins and volcanic cavities. One of its most distinctive physical properties is its perfect rhombohedral cleavage. On the Mohs scale, it has a hardness of 3, making it a relatively soft mineral. Many varieties also exhibit strong fluorescence under UV light, depending on trace impurities like manganese or lead.

Metaphysical properties

Stilbite is known as a stone of creativity and inner peace. It is highly regarded for its ability to quiet the mind and support restful sleep or deep meditation. It aids in manifesting intuitive thoughts into action. It is often used to overcome feelings of being overwhelmed, providing a gentle, supportive vibration that encourages a sense of expansion and mental clarity.

Apophyllite is known as the Stone of Conscious Connection. It is a high-vibration crystal that acts as a conduit between the physical and spiritual realms. It is one of the most effective tools for spiritual vision and astral travel. It helps to clear mental blockages and provides a sense of profound clarity during stressful times. Its high water content makes it an excellent conductor of energy, ideal for recharging other crystals or enhancing the energy of a room.

Chalcedony has a very loving energy and is excellent at absorbing negative energy. It helps us to overcome self-doubt and encourages us to be more open and energised. It stimulates creativity and learning and stimulates personal and spiritual growth.

Calcite is believed to clear stagnant energy from the body and the environment, facilitating spiritual growth and mental expansion. Depending on its color (e.g., Orange, Blue, Honey), it targets different chakras, but generally, it is used to enhance memory, emotional intelligence, and motivation. It is an excellent stone for those who feel they have lost their spark or direction, as it helps transform ideas into actions.
